Carylin was a renowned lover of dogs and a basketball coach extraordinaire. She blazed a trail through the Chicagoland area with her basketball acumen while coaching both her son and daughter's basketball teams. She was a fiercely independent woman with a deeply rooted work ethic admirable to all who knew her.
