Bruce David Anderson passed away peacefully Friday, February 10, 2017 at Park Ridge Care Center.  He was born May 23, 1951 in Chicago. He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Patricia Anderson and siblings, Craig (Tracey) Anderson, Leslie (Mark) Bradshaw, Kristine (Scott) Shirley and Scott (Gail) Anderson, adoring nephews and nieces, Scotty Shirley, Sierra Shirley, Dylan Bradshaw, Taylor Bradshaw, Rachel Washburn and Katie Anderson.  He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley David Anderson. Bruce loved to ride in the car and feel the wind in his face.  He loved to listen to the Cubs games on the radio, but always had a special place in heart for his favorite White Sox player, Marvelous Minnie Minoso. Bruce had many physical challenges on this earth but he is finally free to be with God in Heaven. There are no words to express how much Bruce touched the lives of his family and many many others.  His sweet spirit, beautiful smile and wonderful laugh will never be forgotten. God saw you getting weary, He did what He thought best; He put His arms around you And said, "Come and rest." He opened up His golden gates And with His arms around you You gently slipped away. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone; A part of us went with you The day God called you home. Prayers will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy. Park Ridge  at 12:00 noon and a private interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
