Alice D. Chambers (nee Szymczak) passed away on November 6th 2020 in her home in Marble Falls TX at age 91. A native Chicagoan and homemaker, she was always fashionable, loved gardening, and will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. Beloved wife of the late Bill; loving mother of Peggy, Mary (Jim) Anderson, the late Bill (Eileen); Bob (Jackie), Kevin (Dominique), Keith (MaryJo); dear grandmother of Kristen, Bill, Jennifer, Dan, Julie, David, Ryan, Cayla, Katie, Kim, Bob, Aurelie, Karen, Ashley, Dan, Michelle; great-grandmother of sixteen; caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Anna and Stanley Szymczak and sister Jean Tenczar. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Hyacinth Basilica on Friday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. Committal service All Saints Cemetery. Memorials in Alice's name may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067 or Shriner's Hospital for Children, PO Box 1510, Ranson, WV 25438.
