Mary Lund

Mary Louella Lund (nee Mundt)- age 86 of Chicago and Round Lake Beach IL., passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018 surrounded by her family.  Mary was born on January 7th, 1932 in Chicago, IL.  On October 20, 1951 she was married to Kenneth Lund. Loving mother of Christine (Mike) Gillespie, Kathy Anderson, Keith (Mary) Lund, Cynthia (Trey) Collins and Kelly (Carla) Lund.  Loving Mother-In-Law of Mike, Gary, Mary, Trey and Carla.  Loving Grandmother of Michael (Denise), Elizabeth (Joe), Tom (Catherine), Jacob (Jeannie), Brigette (Larry), Carl (Connie), Doug (Allison), Jessica (Adrian), Alexandra, Kenneth and Kevin.  Loving Great-Grandmother of Patrick, Shannon, Jackson, Killian, Lochlan, Morrigan, Mick, Grace, Alice, Georgie, Carl (CJ), Andreas, Emma, Sofia and Logan.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, mother Ella Miller and sisters Ann McCaskey and Charlotte Nielsen.  She was loved and respected by all that met her and an inspiration to her children and grandchildren whom adored her.   She worked as a checker at Mayflower Foods in Chicago, IL, as a bookkeeper at the Independent Register in Libertyville, IL and at the A & P Supermarket in Round Lake, lL. She was a member of the Danish Woman’s Auxiliary where she spent countless hours volunteering to help the residents of the Danish Home. Visitation will be held Friday, December 7th  3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Cooney Funeral Home  3918 W. Irving Park, Chicago, IL.   Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at Cooney Funeral Home.  Interment at Mount Emblem Cemetery- 520 E.
