Elizabeth S. Suenkens

Elizabeth S. Suenkens (nee Menas), age 80, passed away peacefully at home on February 10th.  Beloved wife of the late William; loving mother of Ann E. (Richard) Tatlock, Susan T. (Peter) Poulos, William C. (Pamela), and Amy M. (Wayne) Schalk; devoted daughter of the late Samuel and Mariam Menas; beloved sister to the late Robert (Lorna) Menas, George (Helen) Menas, and the late John Menas; cherished daughter-in-law to the late Charles (Madeline) Dieskow and the late William (Philipines); fond sister-in-law to the late Dennis (Ruth) Behrendt; loving grandmother of Christopher, Amanda, Jonathan, Matthew, Benjamin, Kimberlee, William, Lauren, Alexandra, and Zachary;  fond aunt of many. Lifelong Chicago resident, devout parishioner and retired executive assistant at JMB Realty.  Elizabeth “Betty“ enjoyed daily walks and chats with neighbors, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening, relaxing on her patio with a glass of wine, and doting on her ten grandchildren. Visitation Thursday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy in Park Ridge. Funeral Friday, prayers at 9:30 a.m., then to St. Paul of the Cross Church for Mass (320 S. Washington Street, Park Ridge) at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery (7800 W. Irving Park Rd, Norridge, IL).
