Mary Berns – 64 years old, lifelong resident of Chicago, IL.   Born May 31, 1953 – at rest October 19, 2017. Loving granddaughter of the late Carmen and Rose Gentile. Beloved daughter of recently deceased Lois Gentile DoCurro. Loving sister of Rosanne (Francis X) Mastroianni. Devoted aunt to Mark Anthony Mastroianni. Mary graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mary had many talents – she was a fine pianist, a talented singer and artist. Mary was employed by Bloomingdales, on North Michigan Avenue and worked in the Men’s Fine Apparel division for twenty years.  In her tenure at Bloomingdales she was recognized yearly as a top producer for the store.  She loved her co-workers and was looking forward to returning to work after a brief illness.  May her soul rest in peace.  Per Mary’s wishes her burial and memorial service will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Northwestern Memorial Foundation, 251 E.
